Did you check your horoscope today? If so, you might be lucky in love, need to plan ahead for a task, or swallow your pride according to today’s newspaper.

These generalizations are the basis for horoscopes, and it allows the reader to decide if it pertains to their day or not. All I know is that two of my really great ChaCha girlfriends were born on the same day (birthday twins) and that month/day must be aligned with my stars for me to have that wonderful ChaCha coincidence!

Horoscopes are one of the most popular systems of predicating the

future today compared to tarot cards, palm reading, numerology, and, of course, the classic crystal ball! The word “horoscope” comes from the Greek, which combin

es the word hora (time) and skopos (observer). Horoscopes are based on the stars as they appear in the sky at the exact time and place of a person’s birth.

According to the

positioning of the planets, astrologers claim they are able to read a person’s destiny based on the circles of the zodiac. There are signs above and below the line of horizon and in the east and west houses. Each house has a unique role and meaning. The houses in order of 1 to 12 are life, money, relationships’ with other people, relationship with family, relationship with children, health, marriage, death, religion, recognition, friends and then mystery. A full horoscope is based on time and place of birth, but general characteristics link all people under a certain sign. Sometimes those qualities are spot on and other times, they appear to have no relevance at all.

One of the ChaCha concepts I do like about birth months are the birthstones. According to Exodus 28:15-21, Moses commanded his brother Aaron to fabricate a breastplate covered in precious stones.

They were made of twelve different colors to represent twelve tribes of Israel and then each color was linked to the months of the year. Did you know you can order a ChaCha ring in your birthstone color or in the birthstone of your children? Each birthstone has characteristics associated to them, but that will have to be another blog as it is very detailed information! In case you don’t know your birthstone, here is quick recap in month order from January to December: Garnet, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Diamond, Emerald, Pearl, Ruby, Peridot, Sapphire, Opal , Topaz, and Turquoise. As we know, diamonds (April’s birthstone) are considered lucky and bring courage to men and pride in women. So, if you just recently received a diamond for your engagement, congrats! Or, if you are lucky enough to receive a diamond for something other than a wedding is ChaCha wonderful too!

If you have a great horoscope story, please share it with me to receive your birthstone ring on us! We love it when the ChaCha stars align in love or friendship. Email Suzanne at s@chachabella.com and share your story!
